Prairie Arts Center

Our Historic Building:
The Prairie Arts Center, formerly the historic 1913 Post Office Building,  is registered with the Nebraska State Historical Society and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

However, a complete renovation was needed. We are now working on the second floor. Completed renovations include the studio level classrooms, a new elevator and interior stairway, and the first floor with gallery and gift shop.

When finished the Prairie Arts Center will not only provide the venue for special arts and cultural related activities and classes; it will also provide an ideal setting for many other community events.

Past events include the Literary Festival, Autumn Arts Festival, Children’s Art Festival, and Community Unity Tile Project. Annual
events include the Spring Herb Market, and the Artists in Action gala.
